Our Story

Welcome to
Carlin's Garden

For us, bread has always been about more than food. It's about gathering around the table, slowing down, sharing with others, and giving thanks for the simple gifts God provides.

Our Family & Beginning

From our kitchen to your table

We believe some of life's sweetest moments happen around a fresh loaf of bread: stories being shared, laughter filling the room, and hearts growing closer. Food has a way of bringing people together, and we believe those moments are gifts from God.

We're Susie and Tony, a homeschooling family born and raised in Venice, Florida. Carlin's Garden began as a simple desire to make wholesome, handcrafted food for our own family, and as we followed where God was leading, that love for baking grew into a calling to serve the very community that shaped our lives.

We believe He led us into this marketplace, not simply to bake bread, but to serve our neighbors, build relationships, and glorify Him through the work of our hands.

How We Bake

Good food doesn't have to be complicated

Everything we make is handcrafted in small batches using our sourdough starter, long fermentation, and thoughtfully selected organic ingredients. We believe good food doesn't have to be complicated. It should be made with care, shared generously, and enjoyed together.

Faith, Family & Community

Serving the community that raised us

Whether you stop by our market booth, place an order for your family's table, or simply come to say hello, we hope you feel genuinely welcomed. Thank you for supporting our family — it is an honor to serve this community, and we are grateful for the chance to share the simple joy of good food with our neighbors.

Our prayer is that every loaf, every cookie, every English muffin, and every meal shared around your table reminds you of God's goodness and faithfulness.

Beyond the Bakery

Beyond the Bakery

We enjoy creating together in many different ways. Alongside baking and homeschooling, our family has written and published children's books together, with Susie, Tony, and the kids each playing a part in bringing stories to life that center on learning, adventure, and caring for God's creation.

Whether through a loaf of bread or the pages of a book, our hope is the same: to encourage families, serve others, and bring glory to Jesus.
